Sandy Bottoms Cottage offers a year-round getaway from the everyday. The cottage has 210 feet of sandy beach, a private location and western exposure offering peaceful sunsets. This five-bedroom, one and a half bath cottage feels like home. It can sleep up to 14 people and is designed for the young as well as the young at heart.

The interior of this family cottage has been renovated with modern décor, a bright, open-concept kitchen and living room and a classic, stone, wood-burning fireplace on the upper level and baseboard heating for the winter months. 
The vaulted, pine ceiling in the kitchen, dining and living rooms is original to the cottage and complements the new hardwood floors throughout. The kitchen is well-equipped with a fridge, stove, microwave, dishwasher and a large island for meal prep. 

Three steps down from the kitchen is the living room. The wall of windows faces the lake and offers great views of the sandy beach and sunsets. This room also has seating for six people, and a TV with DVD player. Bring your favourite DVDs and popcorn for movie nights. From the living room you can access the sunroom which is a great place to tuck away, enjoy the lake-views and catch-up on some reading.

The dining area is just off the kitchen with seating for up to six people. There is additional seating just down the hall, in the south part of the cottage, through the door to the original section of the cottage. This screened-in room is ideal for family mealtimes with two tables and seating for up to 14 people. This room also offers a walk-out to the deck where the barbeque is conveniently located. There is also, patio furniture and seating for six people. 

From the kitchen and toward the north side of the cottage are three of the five bedrooms. One has a king bed, one has a queen bed and the third has a double bed and a set of bunk beds, single on top and bottom. There is also a three-piece bathroom down the hall with a newly tiled shower. 

The lower level of the cottage offers another seating area with two comfy couches and seating for six people. There is also a foosball table and mini air-hockey table. The additional two bedrooms are on this level. One has a double bed and the other has two sets of bunk beds with singles on top and bottom. 

The lot is fairy level with only 12 or so steps to the waterfront. There you will find a large lakeside deck, ideal for relaxing at and watching the little ones frolic in the sandy beach and shallow waters. Sandy Bottoms Cottage offers a lot of outdoor activities, including two canoes and two kayaks - great for exploring the lake with. The water is quite shallow for a ways out with a solid, sand bottom. Take a leisurely swim out to the swim platform that is anchored just off the shoreline in the deeper waters, and close the nights out with stargazing around the fire pit.

The town of Huntsville is a short 15-minute drive away and has some wonderful local dining and shopping. Arrowhead Provincial Park is 20 minutes from the cottage and has year-round, outdoor activities. Algonquin Provincial Park is well-known for exceptional hiking and is approximately a 45 minute drive from the cottage.
