Located on Three Mile Lake near the small community of Katrine just 25 minutes north of Huntsville, this outstanding four season cottage boasts many fantastic features that will appeal to larger groups and families. Whether it’s taking in beautiful sunsets from its large westerly facing dock and deck (the latter complete with hot tub!), playing pool and pinball in its massive games room, or paddling or swimming along its 190ft of pristine shoreline, this acre-plus property delivers!

The grounds surrounding this spacious 3200 sq ft cottage are delightfully landscaped to maximize the natural appeal of the waterfront, reached either by lovely stonework stairs or zigzagging pathways. Once there, the clear, sandy-bottomed water beckons swimmers of all ages and abilities for a dip or a paddle, while serous swimmers will enjoy the chest-high waters off the huge dock (so will those who like to fish for bass or pickerel, all plentiful here). Three kayaks (doubles and singles) are also available for those wanting to explore a little further afield (lifejackets are a must!). Exposed to the sun all day long, the dock’s also the place to catch the sunset (or do some stargazing) before toasting your ‘s’mores’ over the fire pit.

Other outdoor features include a huge deck, much of it enclosed and screened, that runs the length of the cottage, and with plenty of comfortable seating for entertaining. Afterwards, when the kids are in bed, there’s a large hot tub for the adults to enjoy. There is also a 3 km hiking trail that loops around on the acreage across the road. 

This large, four-bedroom, two-bathroom cottage easily accommodates groups of up to 10 guests, and is as charming inside as it is outside. Its tall floor-to-ceiling windows let plenty of light into the kitchen and dining areas (the table extends enough to seat everyone) and offer stunning westerly views over the lake. The kitchen is modern and well-equipped with everything needed to make memorable meals - there’s even a double-waffle maker for those big family breakfasts. (There’s also BBQ close to the kitchen.)

Adjacent the dining area is the large living room, complete with a 42" TV, DVD and satellite system, as well as a stereo with an easy-to-use speaker system that can channel your favourite tunes. A large fireplace insert adds a warm, cozy touch.

The master bedroom is spacious and is as beautifully decorated as the rest of the cottage. Highlights include a large king bed, a magnificent walk-out balcony, a huge 60” TV, and a large ensuite with heated tile flooring and ‘rainfall’ shower. The other bedrooms are equally attractive and roomy (bedroom #2 has 2 x double beds; bedroom #3 has a queen bed; bedroom #4 has a double bed..

Just when it seems things couldn’t get any better, well, it does, as the whole downstairs area is designed for games and fun! Guests of all ages can enjoy pool and billiards, foosball, air hockey, rod hockey, basketball hoop games, darts, ping pong… even a vintage pinball machine! Other highlights include a large TV (with DVD and satellite), plenty of comfortable seating, a work out area with a treadmill, and a walk-out to a comfortable patio area.
