Secluded Log Cabin near Hocking Hills with Hot Tub

Our quaint Hawk’s Nest Cabin is located “off the beaten path” deep in the rolling hills of Southeast Ohio. This cabin is nestled in the woods offering plenty of seclusion for our guests. This is the perfect place to escape the chaos of the city and everyday life to relax in solitude! The Hawk’s Nest Cabin offers a great space for our guests to enjoy quality time with friends or family at the cabin, explore nearby State Parks, and experience the great outdoors like never before.

The space
Guests will follow forest covered, hilly back roads until they come to a charming neighborhood in the rolling hills where the Hawk’s Nest Cabin is located. Guest are welcomed by a beautifully manicured 7-acre property that is home to two additional cabins – the Eagle’s Landing Cabin and the Cozy Cabin. Guests can rent all three cabins for large group getaways! Following the long driveway straight back will take our guests to our rustic Hawk’s Nest Cabin nestled in the trees. Here, a charming front porch with outdoor furniture and an additional covered outdoor space greets our guests. Guests can enjoy time outside having cook outs, eating around the picnic table, or relaxing in the warm Jacuzzi. The hot tub is located under a pavilion so our guests can enjoy it even when April showers or winter snowstorms come through! One of the best features of the outdoor space is the newly renovated gravel firepit with Adirondack chairs, benches, tables, and a swing. This gives our guests ample opportunity to create memories of a lifetime under the beautiful Hocking Hills stars. The stars will have you coming back time and time again. We love this area because of the stars and open sky – we hope you do too! Sit around a crackling warm campfire roasting marshmallows and telling stories with your loved ones.

Our guests will feel at a home away from home when they enter the Hawk’s Nest Cabin. The knotty pine walls instantly make you feel cozy and warm. We supply everything for our guests to enjoy a stay with us. The kitchen comes fully equipped with all the amenities and supplies you need to enjoy a home cooked meal throughout your getaway. Two bedrooms are located on the main floor and the third is a lofted bedroom – all of which offer a comfortable place to rest after a long day of exploring. The living room is spacious enough to kick back, relax, and watch some movies. The electric fireplace is a great amenity to take advantage of throughout warmer months. Snuggle up next to your loved one on the couch to unwind.

Hawk's Nest Cabin sits on a 7-acre property along with our Cozy Cabin (2 person) & Eagle’s Landing Cabin (9 person), making it great for large group rentals! Ask us about the several other cabins & lodges located in close proximity. Guests are welcome to explore the private 7-acres & the rural neighborhood. 5-acre Lake is located about 1 mile down the road from Hawk's Nest Cabin.

The Hawk's Nest Cabin is centrally located in Hocking Hills & Wayne National Forest. Lake Hope State Park in Zaleski State Forest is 8 minutes from the cabin & offers plenty of trails for hiking & mountain biking or fishing, canoeing, kayaking, picnicking, & swimming! A short 15-mile drive to Hocking Hills State Park where guests can explore Old Man’s Cave, Cedar Falls, Ash Cave, Conkle’s Hollow, & Rock House. The Cozy Cabin is a great escape for alumni & parents visiting Ohio University in Athens, OH. There is a surplus of local breweries & wineries in Hocking Hills & Athens for our guests to unwind at.

Located 5 miles from the heart of Nelsonville – Nelsonville’s Historic Square where guests can visit Stuart’s Opera House, Hocking College, Nelsonville Music Festival, Rhapsody Restaurant, Hocking Valley Scenic Railway & much more! For our ATV enthusiasts, Dorr Run Trail Head is in town & offers over 75 miles of designated trails for off-road vehicle riders, mountain bikers, & hikers through Wayne National Forest. For our water sport enthusiasts, Murray’s Landing Canoe & Kayak Livery is in town where guests can canoe, kayak, or tube with a 10% discount!

Other things to note
Rental rates are subject to change at any time. Our rates are based on a minimum occupancy of 4 guests. Each additional guest is an additional $25 per night. Children 5 and younger stay for free. 2 Night minimum for Weekend stays – Friday, Saturday & Sunday. 3 Night minimum for Holiday Weekend - Holiday rates apply for all 3 nights. Taxes are 13.25% additional. We have both 7.25% sales tax and 6% lodging tax added to the rental rates.
