The Riders Roost is located 5 miles from Nelsonville and Wayne National Forest. The State Park offers over thousands of acres to explore by hiking, off-highway vehicle riding, mountain biking, or horseback riding. When in town, guests will want to visit Nelsonville's Historic Square Arts District, Stuart's Opera House, Hocking Valley Scenic Railway, or the Nelsonville Music Festival that is held every year at Hocking College. 15 miles from the cabin, guests will run into Lake Hope State Park located in Zaleski State Forest. Upon arrival, guests will notice the large car port/front porch which is a great space for sipping morning coffee or enjoy outside time during a spring storm. Guests will walk into the Rider Roost to a beautiful, fully equipped kitchen ands spacious living room. The 3 bedrooms offer a place for our customers to “hit the hay” after a day of exploring all the nearby state parks. The car port, that sits off the kitchen, is a great place for some peace and quiet – catch up on one of your favorite books or unwind with some local brews or wine! If you of have ATV's you can enjoy the local trails within driving distance of the home. The back deck is spacious allowing our guests to enjoy cookouts, eat around the picnic table, and relax in the hot tub. Wander over to the newly renovated firepit with benches, Adirondack chairs, and a swing. Spend time under the stars, creating memories and roasting marshmallows around a crackling, warm fire.
