Explore our 40+ acre property that sits adjacent to 1000+ acres of Wayne National Forest to find the hidden caves throughout property. Stroll down the hill to the private, stocked pond for catch and release fishing, canoeing, or to simply enjoy nature. Accidentally fall asleep in the hammock (in warm months). Relax and unwind in the hot tub. Enjoy your evening under the stars, making memories around a crackling fire while telling tails and roasting marshmallows. You will fall in love with the open starry night sky.

There is so much to experience & explore! The Chalet Lodge is a short 30-minute drive to the main Hocking Hills State Parks. Must see attractions include Old Man’s Cave, Ash Cave, Cedar Falls, Conkle’s Hollow, and Rock House. Lake Hope State Park, Zaleski State Forest, and Moonville Tunnel are a short 15-minute drive from the property, great for sightseeing or spending the day on the lake. Drive 5 miles into town to visit Nelsonville’s Historic Arts District, Stuart’s Opera House, Hocking Valley Scenic Railway, or Hocking College. We are a short 20-minute drive from Ohio University, great for parents and alumni visiting Athens. ATV enthusiasts, mountain bike enthusiasts, and hunters are all welcome! Wayne National Forest offers over 75 miles of designated trails for off-road riders. The Dorr Run Trail Head is 5 miles away. Ask us about our other ATV Friendly cabins and lodges. Hunters can head to the back of our property line to hunt.

---- The swimming pool is only open and available for use from Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day Weekend. When our pool is open, guests are required to sign a “Pool Use Agreement and Release, Waiver of Liability Agreement” at the time of check-in.

---- Early Check-In: $25 fee per hour, up to 2 hours early. must get approved. Management has ability to deny early check-in.
---- Late Check-Out: $25 fee per hour, up to 2 hours late. must get approved. Management has ability to deny early check-in.
---- Shipping Fee: If guests leave items behind & they want it shipped back, guest is responsible for cost of shipping + $10 shipping fee.
---- Add Ons: Guest has ability to add on a variety of different add-ons, such as: Firewood Bundles, Dozen Roses, Bed of Rose Petals, Mixed Flower Bouquet, & a variety of other baskets.

Guest access
Guests have access to the entire property, besides the pole barn that sits adjacent to the lodge. If guest wishes to utilize pole barn, there are additional fees associated. Guests are more than welcome to explore our 40+ private acres of forest. Guests can explore the 1000+ acres of Wayne National Forest. Take advantage of the private, stocked pond for some catch and release fishing or canoeing. The wrap around gravel driveway allows for ample parking for 16 guests.
