The space
Guests will follow forest covered, windy back roads until they come to a quaint neighborhood in the hills where our Cozy Cabin is located. The beautifully manicured 7-acre property greets our guests. Guests will follow our wood carved signs to the Cozy Cabin, located on a secluded hillside, where they will arrive to a charming back deck with a private hot tub. Guests will walk into the Cozy Cabin to a one-room cabin covered in knotty pine. Once inside, the cabin comes complete with everything our guests will need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Guests can make a delicious homemade meal in the fully equipped kitchen. Top it off by baking “melt in your mouth” chocolate chip cookies while “cozying” up in bed or on the sofa watching movies and drinking hot chocolate. Enjoy time outside. The front porch offers a great space for our guests to sip on a morning coffee or have a romantic dinner while taking in the sights of nearby wildlife. The outdoor firepit is one of the best features of the cabin. Create memories of a lifetime swinging and stargazing by a warm flame with your loved one. End the night unwinding in the warm Jacuzzi. This is the perfect opportunity for guests to lean their head back and enjoy the simpler things in life. Return home feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. After visiting once, you will want to return again and again.

There is so much to experience & explore! The Cozy Cabin is a short 30-minute drive to the main Hocking Hills State Parks. Must see attractions include Old Man’s Cave, Ash Cave, Cedar Falls, Conkle’s Hollow, and Rock House. Lake Hope State Park, Zaleski State Forest, and Moonville Tunnel are a short 15-minute drive from the property, great for sightseeing or spending the day on the lake. Drive 5 miles into town to visit Nelsonville’s Historic Arts District, Stuart’s Opera House, Hocking Valley Scenic Railway, or Hocking College. We are a short 20-minute drive from Ohio University, great for parents and alumni visiting Athens. ATV enthusiasts, mountain bike enthusiasts, and hunters are all welcome! Wayne National Forest offers over 75 miles of designated trails for off-road riders. The Dorr Run Trail Head is 5 miles away. Ask us about our other ATV Friendly cabins and lodges. Hunters can head to the back of our property line to hunt.

Cozy Cabin sits on a 7-acre property along with our Hawk’s Nest Cabin (8 person) & Eagle’s Landing Cabin (9 person), making it great for large group rentals! Ask us about the several other cabins & lodges located in close proximity. Guests are welcome to explore the private 7-acres & the rural neighborhood. 5-acre Lake is located about 1 mile down the road from Cozy Cabin.
The Cozy Cabin is centrally located in Hocking Hills & Wayne National Forest. Lake Hope State Park in Zaleski State Forest is 8 minutes from the cabin & offers plenty of trails for hiking & mountain biking or fishing, canoeing, kayaking, picnicking, & swimming! A short 15-mile drive to Hocking Hills State Park where guests can explore Old Man’s Cave, Cedar Falls, Ash Cave, Conkle’s Hollow, & Rock House. The Cozy Cabin is a great escape for alumni & parents visiting Ohio University in Athens, OH. There is a surplus of local breweries & wineries in Hocking Hills & Athens for our guests to unwind at.
Located 5 miles from the heart of Nelsonville – Nelsonville’s Historic Square where guests can visit Stuart’s Opera House, Hocking College, Nelsonville Music Festival, Rhapsody Restaurant, Hocking Valley Scenic Railway & much more! For our ATV enthusiasts, Dorr Run Trail Head is in town & offers over 75 miles of designated trails for off-road vehicle riders, mountain bikers, & hikers through Wayne National Forest. Guests will follow forest covered, hilly back roads until they come to our quaint 2 person Cozy Cabin. Upon arrival to the Cozy Cabin, guests will be welcomed by a charming front porch with an outdoor dining set, two rocking chairs. Guests will walk into the Cozy Cabin to a one-room cabin that comes complete with everything our guests will need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. As guests enter the cabin, there is a cozy Queen-sized bed to the right and a fully equipped, but small kitchen and dining area to the left. The small living space allows our guests to cuddle on the couch while watching movies. Walk out the back door to an inviting outdoor space where guests can watch a beautiful sunset over the rolling hills of Southeast, Ohio. Walk up the cement pad staircase to a newly renovated gravel firepit with Adirondack chairs where our guests can stargaze, cuddle, and share memories around the warm campfire. End your day, relaxing in our small 2 person Jacuzzi after a long day of exploring the beautiful Hocking Hills State Parks.

Our rates are based on a minimum occupancy of 2 guests. Children 5 and younger stay for free. 2 Night minimum for Weekend stays – Friday, Saturday & Sunday. Holiday rates apply for Memorial Day Weekend, 4th of July, Labor Day Weekend, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s. The taxes associated with the rental are 13%. We have both 7% sales tax and 6% lodging tax.
