The newly renovated kitchen has modern stainless steel appliances and an apron front double bowl sink, perfect for meal preparations, with the dining room just off to its side, facing out to the lake, providing peaceful lake views while enjoying your meals. 

But it is the great outdoors that will bring endless hours of fun in the sun from a variety of chosen locations. Start your days off with your morning coffee on the deck that expands the length of the cottage, adorned with a new glass railing providing unimpeded peaceful tree-top views out to the lake. With a southwest exposure, head down to the generous sized new dock providing plenty of room for the entire family to spread out and relax, and bask in the sun from noon until sunset. The 95 feet of hard packed sandy shoreline and shallow lake entry makes it ideal for little ones to safely splash and play, while the older kids can jump off the end of the dock into deeper refreshing waters and swim for hours on end. With paddleboards at your disposal, be sure to head out for a paddle and explore the lake.

For boat enthusiasts, Lake Vernon is a boating and water sports paradise and its surrounding lakes offer expansive waterway exploration! With over 40 miles of boating, you have access to Peninsula Lake, Fairy Lake and through the lock system into Mary Lake. 

For shorter day trips, the historic town of Huntsville is minutes away by car, with quaint shops to explore on Main Street and a wide selection of cafes and restaurants to choose from. Arrowhead Provincial Park is just minutes from the downtown area and for longer day trips, Algonquin Park is just a 40 minute drive away from the downtown area. Both parks offer hiking trails and water activities in the summer and snow shoeing, cross country skiing and ice skating in the winter.

However you spend your days, no day in cottage country is complete without a BBQ dinner back at the cottage, followed by roasting marshmallows for dessert around the fire pit.
