With a kayak at your disposal, definitely get out onto the lake for a morning paddle when the water is at its calmest. Additional water toys can be rented on a daily basis at the nearby Baptist Camp
You are located at the mouth of popular Mary Lake, so Mary Lake Marina and Mary Lake Sea-doo rentals (705-535-0288) will both bring rentals to the dock at the property making renting a breeze. For avid boaters, bring or rent a boat from Mary Lake Marina and plan for a full day of adventure. You will be able to explore three other adjoining lakes - Fairy, Vernon, Peninsula, gaining access to 64 kilometers of boating. You can even boat into the historical town of Huntsville for a day of shopping and dining. Fishing is also great on both Muskoka and Mary Lake.
For those vacationing in the winter months, there is an abundance of winter activities to participate in at a variety of nearby destinations. There is easy access to one of the largest groomed snow mobile trail networks in North America, in addition to snow shoeing and ice fishing in and around Mary Lake. Arrowhead Provincial Park has ice skating and cross-country ski trails and a tubing hill. “Fire and Ice” skating evenings here are a special experience. Hidden Valley has downhill skiing and if you are here in February don’t miss Ontario’s largest dog sled racing event in Kearney!
