ABOUT THE BARN

Once a fishermen shelter is now Packing comfort and character into its compact space, this stone cottage has been lovingly decorated.

Set just 30 mts of the beach and 20mts of the 16th century chappel,Agia Pelagia(part of the property) in an ancient olive grove overlooking the Boukari bay, this lovely stone building has been given a new, and very different, lease of life, transformed from its rustic olive-press origins into a chic and contemporary holiday home. Outside, among several spots to wine, dine or unwind, there are loungers and a bistro table for two which is lit for a midnight dip; a hammock hangs between the trees, and al fresco dining comes with the noises from the sea and the owls.

Just 1km from the shops in Boukari and 2 Kms from the fishing Village of Petriti.

Just a few steps away a local taverna offering local delicacies-on site.

The more adventures can drive 4 kms to the bustling little town of Moraitika where nightlife never stops.

Huge  Cypress and olive trees provide absolute privacy as you are entering the property as well as shade.

Sun loungers in  the shade of an olive tree listening to the cicadas while sipping a glass of wine.

 

Facing the beach with numerous al fresco corners.In this property one can have privacy at all times enjoying a glass of wine ,reading a book or having break fast.

The full size  tennis court that lies just a stroll away next to the ancient olive grove an orangery and a citrus plantation is only available to this house if the beach mansion is vacant.

There is a spring in the estate that provides all running water,as well as two small streams .

The estate holds 900 olive trees ,producing extra virgin olive oil a citrus and an orange plantation.

Agia Pelagia ,a 16th century chapel is 20mts away,while Gialos fine tavern is just on the edge of the estate.

Excellent location

Excellent location - tucked away 1 minute from the port and it's many restaurants, 5 minutes from three beaches BUT in a quiet zone!

Fab location. Very clean and welcoming with those little touches that make all the difference. As a solo traveller I felt very safe. I would highly recommend!

Corfu, Greece

Boukari is a small bay nestling between the villages of Petriti and Mesongi. Totally unspoiled my mass tourism it can still offer a unique taste of Greek nature and hospitality. From your terrace you can watch local fishermen sailing by , do not hesitate to call them to buy Fresh fish. A family of dolphins is a common spectacle. Unfortunately, the smell of the sea or the shrubs or the estate atmosphere cannot be sensed from pictures or videos. If you happened to stay at Boukari Estate on October the 8th-Agia Pelagias celebration day, you will mix with the Greeks that pay respect and come to pray to the chapel once a year organizing a small picnic which carries on as a feast at the Gialos taverna right on the edge of the Estate. Nearest shops are either at Boukari 1 km away with its famous fish tavernas. Psaras is just 1,5 km away and is dominated by another famous fish tavern. Petriti on the other side is a fishing village, 1,5 Km away with a few shops and tavernas. If you feel more adventurous you can always visit Mesonghi, a bustling little town2,5 Kms away with all amenities. The traditional and unspoiled village of Chlomos ,2 kms away, offers a real taste of Greece. Within 10 minutes drive you can reach Halikounas ,a protected unspoiled reserve ideal for kite and windsurfing.
