New Luxury Beachfront Villa with Private Pool, Resort Privileges

Welcome to Wild Orchid. This spectacular four bedroom estate was just completed in December of 2017. It is located on the Banks Road of Governor's Harbour, the premier Eleuthera location, where it is situated directly on a mile-long pristine, beach that is usually deserted. Wild Orchid features a stunning private beachfront infinity edge pool overlooking the turquoise waters and pink sands of Poponi Beach.

Wild Orchid is located on the 70 acre grounds of the boutique beachfront resort, La Bougainvillea. It comes with full access to the resort’s amenities including an excellent restaurant and bar. Guests at Wild Orchid enjoy the privacy of a private home but with resort amenities including access to room service, housekeeping, in-suite massage, concierge service, and more.

Wild Orchid consists of a 3-bedroom main house with a detached 1-bedroom guest cottage. The kitchen, dining room, living room and three of the four bedrooms all feature ocean views. All bedrooms have luxury en-suite baths finished in coral stone. The main house has a king bed master suite and two queen bed guest suites. The guest cottage has a king bed master suite. All bedrooms and the living room have cable TV.

The luxury kitchen features stainless steel appliances and is fully equipped with blender, toaster, coffee maker, cookware, plates and glasses.

Luxury finishes at Wild Orchid include coral stone floors, 18’ high ceilings, local carpentry, and tongue and groove cypress throughout.

Wild orchid’s ocean-view great room opens onto a stunning ipe wood deck, shaded by a pergola and overlooking the pool and beach. The deck features an outdoor dining table for 8, chaise lounges, and a round day bed for two.

Amenities include AC throughout, WIFI, washer/dryer, and cable TV in every room. It has a charcoal grill for outdoor cooking. Amenities available but not included are in-room massage, room service, and housekeeping. Kayaks and paddle boards are available for rent for $20/day.

The town of Governors Harbour, the main town on the island, is a 6 or 7 minute drive from the property. Governors Harbour has grocery stores, restaurants, liquor stores, two banks with ATMs, a bakery, gift shops, a dive shop, and a medical clinic. It has a nice little collection of 19th century homes and churches overlooking a picturesque harbor. You can buy fresh fish and lobster every afternoon from fisherman at the town dock. Friday night Fish Fry in Governors Harbour is a street/beach party that brings together all the tourists and locals with food, drink, and dancing in the street. You won’t want to miss it.
Upscale restaurants in the area include La Bougainvillea (international cuisine), Tippy’s (international and fusion), The Buccaneer (Bahamian cuisine with Caribbean-Chinese fusion), 1648 Restaurant (Bahamian cuisine inspired by European influences), Bacchus Fine Foods (gourmet restaurant and food store), Pascal’s at Sky Beach Club (International cuisine with Bahamian influences), and The Rainbow Inn (famous for its steaks and seafood). The above all have live music one or more nights a week, so there is live entertainment somewhere nearby almost every night. The Governors Harbour area also has numerous little takeouts and restaurants offering local cuisine, including Da Perk (coffee shop and sandwiches), Mate and Jenny’s (pizza and Bahamian), the Sunset Inn (local cuisine), and LeoRose Sunset Beach Bar and Grill (local cuisine, drinks, live music).
