Welcome to this wonderful piece of paradise, right in the heart of Muskoka cottage country, on the tranquil shores of Gibson Lake. This fabulous property and gorgeous 3,500 sq. ft., 4 bedroom cottage and 850 sq. ft., 2 bedroom bunkie are nestled on 2.5 acres of very private land with 750 feet of pristine water frontage. You couldn't possibly want for more in a family cottage vacation getaway!

The interior of the cottage is meticulously maintained with every attention to detail being paid. The open concept kitchen/dining/living room, with sun-filled natural light from the abundance of lake-facing windows and cathedral ceiling skylights, makes for the perfect location for a variety of family gatherings. Whether you are preparing meals, dining or relaxing on the comfy furniture in front of the stone wood-burning fireplace, the spectacular lake views are always with you. 

From this main living area, there are direct walkouts to the expansive deck overlooking the picturesque waterfront and to the side of the dining room is a screened-in Muskoka room, the ideal spot to retreat to for after dinner beverages or to relax in on inclement days while still feeling one with nature.

The spacious and inviting master bedroom is located at the opposite end of the main living area and has its own 3-piece ensuite bathroom and direct walkout to the deck with a sitting area to enjoy your morning coffee. Two tastefully appointed bedrooms are on the upper level and a large fourth bedroom is on the lower level. The lower level also has a generous-sized family entertainment room complete with a ping pong table and has a direct walkout to the lawn and stairs down to the waterfront.

And if all of this living space wasn't enough, just a stone's throw away from the cottage is a self sufficient 2 bedroom bunkie with an open concept kitchen/living/ dining room, a 3-piece bathroom and its own deck with a BBQ. It was the original cottage and was built by 2 brothers that were engineers for the Avro Arrow in the 1950's!

As beautiful as the cottage is, the owners fell in love with the property and all that it has to offer. Most cottages in Ontario have acreage but not as much usable table land as there is here. There is a level field off of the long driveway to play catch or frisbee, forest to explore in behind the garage and a grassy area near the bunkie to play badminton on. 

For down time, the large cottage deck has plenty of room to kick back and relax on, either catching rays or cooling off in the shade under the retractable awnings.

But the pièce de résistance, is the waterfront with its sweeping vista of the lake and island, which you can swim to or paddle board to, and the sandy beach with shallow entry, a great spot for the little ones to safely splash and play. The older kids can jump off from the end of the dock, where the water is deeper, and swim for hours on end. The bunkie also has its own pathway to this waterfront and a separate path to a sitting area on a granite outcropping, the owners favourite place to watch the sunrise as beavers swim by or take in the majestic site of Great Herons swooping in for a landing.

For a change of pace, take a quick day trip to the quaint village of Bala, just a 25 minute drive away, where you’ll find Johnston’s Cranberry Marsh and Muskoka Lakes Winery and for longer day trips visit Santa’s Village in Bracebridge or take a Muskoka steamship cruise from the Gravenhurst wharf.
