One of three characterful cottages on a working farm just over 10 miles from the harbour town of Fowey, this stone-built retreat offers a great base to explore the rest of Cornwall. After a day of lounging in the sunshine, pour yourselves a glass of wine and rustle up a home-cooked supper together, then dine alfresco as dusk begins to fall.

Whether you are relaxing in the open-plan living space or settling down for the night, you will be surrounded by a bright and airy decor. Light wooden floorboards run through the cottage and large windows are ideally placed to allow plenty of natural light. A huge enclosed garden and small patio area is the ideal spot to relax with a BBQ as the sun sets across the fields in the distance.

Visit the fabulous Eden Project, 6 miles away, and the National Trust's magnificent Lanhydrock House and Gardens, just 4 miles from the cottage. Take a drive down to the pretty coastal town of Looe, 20 miles away and drive the 9 miles to Charlestown to view its magnificent tall ships, seen in the TV series Poldark. Walkers can pick up the coastal path along the St Agnes Heritage Coast and foodies should head to Padstow and Newquay for some excellent seafood restaurants, both just under a 20 -mile drive away.
