Spend a day at the Eden Project (4.5 miles), with its exotic plants, sculptures, iconic geodesic domes and the world's largest indoor rainforest. Luxulyan (2.5 miles), Bugle and Lanivet (3.5 miles) have some lovely local pubs, shops and eateries.

The North Coast's Newquay, Port Isaac, Padstow and St Agnes all lie within 26 miles and offer their own unique Cornish charms.
