About Karen Hunt While we do love dogs, WE DO NOT ALLOW PETS AT ALL. After growing up in Charleston and going to College I decided to be the only one in the family to move away from the area. I went to work for M&M/Mars and lived in NC/NJ/NY/TX and then to Brussels, Belgium and back to NY; after that I met Jerry Greenfield and worked for Ben & Jerry and moved several times for them. Both Mars and B&J taught me to love wine and after my last move took me out to SF I started spending weekend in Napa. I decided to get into the wine business and to many friends and family member's surprise, I landed the VP of Sales for the Mondavi Family as my first job in the wine business; after years of success with them I received a call from Francis Coppola to come double his business as I had done with the Mondavis. I agreed and did the same for him until I went to work for the DAOU family in 2010 as their President of DAOU Vineyards and Winery. The wine business has been great to me and I love the life style. Back in 2009 I bought a condo in Charleston to have a place to stay when visiting my family and friends, then in 2012 I bought a second condo and started renting them both out on VRBO and Homeaway and in 2014 I purchased a third one and in 2016 I sold all three and moved up to this gorgeous house on the Isle of Palms. Now that I am the President of a Winery and lived in Napa Valley, CA before moving to Highlands, NC. We seem always to want to vacation between Italy and the Isle of Palms. Growing up in Charleston and being a graduate of the College of Charleston I always dreamed of owning a home on the Isle of Palms. As a kid we were poor and I could only ride by the gorgeous homes on the Isle of Palms and could wishing to one day be able to walk on the beach because the area kept it SO exclusive by limiting parking. I thought that was terrible back then but, I must say as an owner of the property on the Island now. I think it is fantastic because the beaches are secluded. Before owning Carolina Elegance Beach House I owned three other condos in Beresford Commons, and I want to share some of the comments from guests that stayed at those condos because I am confident we will get similar comments here at the beach: • “Very clean with a lot of amenities!
