Beach Villa with Private Tennis Court on Banks Road, Walk to Tippys

Welcome to “Wreckless”. This family home, built in 1968, was originally a two bedroom “guest house” for the Potlatch Club, a boutique resort popular in the 1960’s and 70’s. It still has some of the original antiques that were typical of British Colonial decorating style of that time. Countless upgrades have been done over the years and two additions were added to the house the most recent a second floor bedroom in 2015.

Wreckless features a beautifully maintained private tennis court, for use by our guests only. Wreckless is a 3 minute walk on a private path to a spectacular pink-sand beach which is usually deserted. The beach is protected by an outer barrier reef and also has a smaller reef within snorkeling distance. A 3 minute walk will also take you to famous Tippy’s beachfront restaurant and bar.

Wreckless is located on the prestigious Banks Road, just 2 miles from Governors Harbour, Eleuthera’s main town, with restaurants and shops. There is live music at one of the restaurants or little resorts in the area most nights of the week.

You are greeted at Wreckless by our vast wrap-around veranda with outdoor seating and dining areas. From the deck, enter the great room with its original hardwood floors and row of east-facing windows. The living and dining areas offer comfortable seating for six adults. A small but highly efficient and fully stocked kitchen is adjacent to the dining area. It is equipped with all appliances including a dishwasher, microwave, and blender.

There is a bedroom either end of the great room, both with access to the rear veranda. One has two twin beds and an en-suite bath with a tub/shower combination. The twin beds can be converted to a king bed upon request. The other bedroom has a king bed and an en-suite bath with a walk-in shower. On the second floor there is a third bedroom with a king bed, an en-suite bath with a walk-in shower, and a great view of the ocean.

The fourth bedroom is a children’s room furnished with two twin beds and a crib. It has a small en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower.

Although the house has 4 bedrooms, the living and dining areas are not designed for a party of 8 adults. We recommend a maximum of 6 for all-adult groups. The house is also comfortable for a group of 4 adults and 4 children.

Amenities include WIFI, AC throughout, cable TV, Internet, crib, gas grill, lots of books & games, DVD/CD, and tennis rackets. Bring your ipod and tennis balls.
