Sleeping you both in a super king-size zip-and-link bed and with plenty of space to stretch out and relax, you won’t want to leave this former farm building. But since Cadgwith Cove is just a mile away and there are plenty more beaches to explore, you’re bound to find beautiful places that will tempt you away.

The property, which has superb, vaulted ceilings and exposed wooden beams paired with gleaming decor, is spacious and welcoming. The open-plan living area is fresh and bright with French doors leading out to the garden but draw the blinds at night and light the wood burner and it becomes a cosy little haven. Cook up a hearty meal in the well-equipped kitchen or get grilling on the BBQ in the enclosed garden and spend sunny evenings outside. If you’ve brought your four-legged friend with you and spend the day at the beach, you can wash muddy or sandy paws in the shower that’s shared with two other cottages before you head inside.

There’s no need to travel far to enjoy the wonderful scenery that Cornwall has to offer. Coverack (8.5 miles) has crystal-blue waters, while Porthleven Beach (13 miles) has a 3-mile stretch of shore to stroll along. The Cornish Seal Sanctuary (10.5 miles) is a favourite among animal lovers, while guests with green fingers will enjoy a visit to Trebah Garden (16 miles). Take a boat trip with Orca Sea Safaris (23.5 miles) and you might see dolphins, seals and even basking sharks.
