About this space

4 bedrooms, 3 1/2 baths, Sleeps 8, Enchanting Details, Kid Friendly & Romantic

Privacy in a natural setting and an almost-new custom green-built home nestled one mile from Warren-Wilson College’s hiking trails. 11 miles to Asheville or Black Mountain.

This mountain sanctuary will soothe your mind, body, heart, and spirit. Sip your morning tea or coffee on the deck overlooking century-old red and white oak trees.

Lounge on the double porch swing or rinse off in the outdoor shower while enjoying the beautiful mountain views.

Chef’s kitchen with gorgeous views of the forest, lots of counter space, a 4-burner gas oven, 2 dishwashers, large refrigerator/freezer, toaster, coffee maker, microwave.

There are 4 bedrooms ( 3 roomy and 1 cozy ) and 4 bathrooms (one is a half bath).

The house offers one king, two queens and two twins (as a bunk bed).

The master bedroom with a king bed will pamper you with its steel canopy bed and soaking tub accented with a picture window.

Built-in steel bunk beds are a treat for the kids along with the fairy door and indoor slide that delivers passengers into the dining room. The third floor offers a queen-sized bed in a spacious room. This bedroom offers gorgeous views from its large circular window and has a half bath.

The revolving bookcase in the living room opens to an office with a queen sized bed. The office also has a television that plays DVDs. Wi-Fi is available but there is no cable.

A/C and heat in addition to radiant floors.

Full kitchen, fridge and freezer, washer and dryer, coffee maker, television ( no cable) & wi-fi.

????Please note that the driveway is 1/10 of a mile up a steep gravel hill. I will send you a video of it before you arrive. Honda minivans struggle with the driveway and it is the one vehicle I would not recommend bringing unless you are confident with your minivan on steep gravel roads. Haunted does advertise their minivan as fully capable of driving on mountain roads however I have found that some guests struggle with the driveway.

About Julia Considine

About Julia Considine I am a native North Carolinian who is nourished by the natural beauty of the outdoors. This home is embraced by the lovely flora and fauna of the land and offers deep serenity to its guests. I enjoy gathering fantastic fresh food from Asheville's farmer's markets and preparing delicious healthy meals for my family. I also love jogging and practicing yoga. Why Julia Considine chose Buncombe County I have resided in the gorgeous mountains of North Carolina for the majority of my life and am grateful to call this part of the country home. I tended to the flower gardens and the forest on this property for nearly a decade before turning it into a vacation rental for others to enjoy. What makes this House unique This unique green built home is nested in the beautiful and peaceful Blue Ridge Mountains just 11 miles outside of Asheville, North Carolina. You will be inspired by the beauty of the home and the serenity of the surrounding forest. Kids of all ages will enjoy the playhouse in the trees and picking blueberries (in season). The indoor slide is something you have to try out, whether you are young or just young at heart! After you have returned from your day of exploration in the out of doors, the outdoor shower and sunset on the deck will settle you in for an evening of good food and family/friends and love.
