La Contessa has a number of facilities that you can use during your stay. Near the front of the complex is a pool which is heated year round, along with a hot tub. All of these facilities can be accessed with the blue fob also found in the drawer by the kitchen sink.

Biking is a great opportunity in Scottsdale. There is an extensive network of bike paths that run for miles, and the entrance to one of the best of these paths is just south of this complex on 92nd Street (right by the cemetery). There are bikes to use in the garage for some outdoor exercise. Other outdoor activities in the area include golf and hiking. There are many fine golf courses within a few miles, and great hiking trails through the desert and mountains throughout the Valley. Many great hiking trail heads are within a 15-minute drive and have ample parking.
