The Wahoo, Dog Friendly Vacation Home, Secluded and Quiet - St. George Island

The Wahoo is a Non-Smoking, Pet Friendly Island Home complete with designer furnishings! New hardwood flooring. The house is located 3 blocks from the public beach and half a block from the bay, a great location for kayakers.

Travel over the 4 mile bridge to beautiful St. George Island with it’s white sand beaches. The bay area offers great kayaking and fishing.
St. George Island is across the bay from historic Apalachicola, Florida, seafood and oyster capital of the world. Apalachicola has become an enclave of eclectic galleries, shops and gourmet restaurants.

This three bedroom two full bath home features a large living area with vaulted ceilings. Two of the bedrooms are furnished with queen-size beds and TVs in the room and the third with two twin beds. The large galley kitchen opens up to the living room and has all the cooking utensils needed for cooking the excellent local seafood.
Enjoy the island evenings and beautiful stars on the large covered deck in back. Either side of the home features extra wide entry steps to make moving in easier. Boaters and fishermen welcome. Three block walk to beach access and half a block to fishing in the bay.

You must be 25 years of age to rent.
Rentals include taxes, cleaning fees. Towels and linens are provided.

Area Information
St. George Island is a 22- mile barrier island that hosts some of Florida’s most beautiful and serene beaches. No high rises anywhere, just an unspoiled island with a laid-back attitude. Twenty miles of beach on the gulfside and miles of marsh, inlets and oyster bars on the bayside. The uncrowded beaches are perfect for sunning and shelling, the clear gulf waters invite swimming and fishing, and the pristine bay marshes feature extraordinary wildlife and sunset viewing. Rent a kayak, boat, bicycle or scooter.

St. George Island Vacation Home by Tim Riordan Hello – My name is Tim Riordan, and I have hosted over 1,000 families from all over the world since 2004. Generally speaking, it has been a great experience. Our average booking is 4 nights, with typical stays ranging from 3 to 7 nights. Occasionally we receive bookings that are 2 to 8 weeks long, with the longer stays occurring only from January through March. Well-behaved children and pets are most welcome. Quiet, responsible drinkers are welcome, and smokers are welcome as well; however, all smoking must be done outside of the homes, with butts disposed of appropriately. Drugs in any form are not welcome. The vacation rental market is rapidly changing, and all major listing sites are trying to capitalize on these changes by nickel-and-diming travelers and property owners. All major listing sites now charge booking or service fees between 6% and 17% to travelers and guests. Save money and book directly with me.
