The Lodge

The Lodge is an upside-down cottage full of character with beamed ceilings, wooden floors, exposed stone walls and a woodburning stove. The cottage is located in the hamlet of Outhgill within the Yorkshire Dales National Park and close to the Lake District National Park. You can enjoy the visiting red squirrels, dark skies, Pendragon Castle and close by is the Settle/Carlisle railway.

This is an ideal property for exploring this undiscovered area on the  North Yorkshire/Cumbria border. The nearby popular market towns of Hawes and Kirkby Stephen with their quirky shops, Dales pubs and delightful tea rooms are within driving distance.  With a wide diversity of walks directly from the door this is an ideal place for you to escape the trappings of modern life.

Open plan Lounge/Diner: Comfortable sofa, three chairs, bookcase, coffee and side tables, dining table and chairs, TV, DVD player and radio. Apex beamed ceilings and exposed stonework, stone window features, external door to outside stone steps, stunning views over Outhgill to Mallerstang Edge.

Parking: Parking outside the property for one car, further parking directly outside the cottage on a first come first served basis.
Heating: Woodburning stove in kitchen (welcome pack of fuel provided) Electric central heating,
Garden/Patio:  Patio area from the French Windows in the conservatory enclosed with a stone wall and a wooden farm gate.
Short Breaks: Available all year round.  
Notes: Towels and bedding are provided. Please note that this property does not allow smoking.  Mobile phone signal is variable depending on network. If arriving in the dark a torch is needed to access the keysafe.
