The cathedral city of St Austell is 17 miles away and while you are in the area, make sure that you spend an afternoon at The Eden Project or The Lost Gardens of Heligan. Closer to home, cycle the 6-mile trail over to the popular port of Padstow with its excellent fish and chip restaurant and pretty shops and cafes.
