About Jane Svensson Washburn The owners of this home are Jane and Ted Washburn. Jane grew up in Park Ridge, Illinois; Ted is from Jamestown, NY. After meeting at the University of Illinois and getting married, we spent 16 years living in Silicon Valley in California. We then settled in Barrington, Illinois and have lived there for the past 25 years. We decided we had had enough of the cold northern winters so we are now living on Marco Island. We have owned property here for over 13 years and are now calling Marco "home"! Jane has 36 years' experience owning and managing furnished rental properties and 25 years' experience in the corporate housing industry. We have been married 41 years, have 2 children, and 4 grandchildren. There is room for all of us to gather here on Marco. Jane Svensson Washburn purchased this House in 2016 Why Jane Svensson Washburn chose Marco Island We fell in love with this home when we first saw it. It is truly spectacular with the soaring ceilings, plantation shutters, and spacious feel. We quickly envisioned our two daughters visiting us at this home with both of their families. With the two master suites there is more than enough room for everyone. We love to entertain and this home is perfectly suited for entertaining. Our grandchildren love swimming in the pool and enjoying the outdoors by eating and grilling poolside in the screened pool area. What makes this House unique Our home is very close to all of the area beaches, parks, restaurants, and grocery stores. It is an easy drive to Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) so it is very easy to get to. Our home has multiple levels of security for pool safety. All doors to the pool area have locks high enough so that small children cannot reach them. Our home has an alarm that can be set so all exits are secured. We also have a Poolguard pool alarm system which was tested and rated #1 by Good Housekeeping magazine.
