Kanab Vacation Home in Utah by Chuck Medrano I purchased this townhouse after traveling down to the Kanab area for a few years. I live in Northern Utah, where the winters are longer and colder. I always look forward to traveling down to the clean air, warm weather, bright sun, and gorgeous scenery that make the Kanab area and Southern Utah so unique. Why I chose Kanab Kanab is the Heart of the Parks. We love the scenery and the climate. The humidity is very low, and they say the sun shines 320 days per year. I love the red rocks and the blue sky. We first started traveling down to Kanab when my brother owned a home there. We fell in love with the area from the first trip and have returned three or four times a year to our little oasis, away from the cold northern Utah winters, to enjoy the scenery, adventures, and relaxation we always find here. Besides Zion National Park, Bryce National Park, the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, and the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument, there are so many places to explore and so many amazing sights to see. You won’t have enough time to explore them all. This townhouse lets us enjoy a place where we feel at home, away from home. Bedrooms to rest in instead of a small hotel room, a family area to relax in, a kitchen to cook meals together and eat together. A washer and dryer right in the townhouse means we can really have all the luxuries of being home, with all the benefits of being on vacation. One of the things we love about Kanab is the small-town atmosphere. The people are friendly, and there is no hustle and bustle. We can still go to Page, Arizona, and St. George, Utah, if we need anything. They are both only a little over an hour away from Kanab. Snow Canyon and Gunlock Reservoir, near St. George, are two beautiful places to visit. You can then return to the quiet and peacefulness of the townhouse, where the air is clean and the scenery is perfect, and relax. What makes this townhouse unique This townhouse is quiet and like new. There is fiber optic, 1 gig speed, unlimited wireless internet. I love that it faces south and is located in the center of the complex. The back door leads right to the rear entrance of the pool and hot tub. It has one covered parking space, and there are several other non-designated parking places available for additional vehicles or boats or trailers. It is fully furnished with three queen-sized beds, two reclining couches, furniture, dishes, pots and pans, a BBQ grill, a patio table and four chairs, a flat-screen TV (Netflix and local channels only, no satellite), and a DVD player. It is just steps away from a relaxing hot tub and large pool (the pool or hot tub may be closed during winter, but the hot tub is usually open even during winter). There is a picnic area right off the back patio, a square table with bench seating that I would say could seat eight. There is also a small charcoal grill by the table. There are some amazing views from the private balcony off the master bedroom. You are in close proximity to restaurants, grocery stores, and convenience stores. You can choose to eat in, dine out, or eat on the run to your next outdoor adventure. You will look forward to returning to the comfort of the townhouse after a long day of hiking, boating, four-wheeling, sightseeing, golfing, or whatever activity you choose.
