This exuberant 1892 Queen Anne Victorian house was built by Dr. Isaac Porter Primrose, and was once the Doctor’s office and the home of his family. The house has fabulous oak trim and floors, colorful stained glass transoms, and original kitchen cabinets with marble counter-top. After being a residence for well over a century, the house has now been completely restored as a Bed and Breakfast. Four colorful Guest rooms offer private baths, several of which have required very creative plumbing!

At Primrose Bed & Breakfast cyclists are a few miles away from one of Ohio's most challenging climbs, Lick Run Hill, with it's double 's' turn at a 19% grade. ATV enthusiasts are just minutes from the Dorr Run Trail Head with over 75 miles of designated trails for off-road vehicle riders, mountain bikers and hikers through the Wayne National Forest. The Primrose is 15 minutes west of Athens and Ohio University and 15 minutes east of Old Man's Cave. Hocking Hills and all the beauty the State Parks have to offer is only a short 15 minute drive to Old Man's Cave, Conkle's Hollow, and RockHouse.
