Welcome to our delightful and secluded White Tail Cabin located in the middle of the beautiful Wayne National Forest. The picturesque views of Sand Run Lake and the neighboring pine forest will have you feeling like you are in another world. Escape your everyday life, visit Hocking Hills & Wayne National Forest to get a breath of fresh air & to enjoy the beautiful, calming forest. You are a short drive from all the Hocking Hills State Parks & minutes from the quaint town of Nelsonville.

The space
You will follow forest covered, back roads until you reach our White Tail Cabin that is nestled next to Sand Run Lake, 18,000+ acres of Wayne National Forest, and is situated on our 7-acre property with two private ponds. You are welcomed to beautiful, picturesque views of the forest that will leave you awestruck. The White Tail Cabin is cozy, comfortable, and inviting making you feel like you are staying at a home away from home. There are 3 spacious bedrooms that allow our guests to rest after a long day of exploring nearby state parks. The living room offers a great space for you to relax, snuggle up next to the electric fireplace, and watch some movies while enjoying a warm cup of hot coco. The absolute best features of the White Tail Cabin include all the outdoor features. We are avid outdoor lovers, so we hope you and your guests get to spend some quality time outdoors! Sip your morning coffee off the wrap around deck while listening to the nearby nature or spend the afternoon enjoying a delicious cookout! Partake in some catch and release fishing in the private pond right in front of the cabin, the second private pond on the lower portion of the property, or at Sand Run Lake. While you are out exploring the ponds, make sure you check out the Sand Run Lake Picnic area and wander into the forest filled with pine tree. If you have a hammock, we recommend bringing it and taking it here. The wooden swing, located by the pond, allows you to become one with nature. There is a newly renovated gravel firepit with wooden benches and Adirondack chairs for you and your guests to create memories of a lifetime around the campfire. You can end your night by relaxing and unwinding in the warm Jacuzzi. Before heading to bed, make sure you and your guests check out the gorgeous, open starry night sky because that’s not something you get to experience all the time. The White Tail Cabin is near and dear to our hearts because it is one of the first properties we added to our portfolio. The moment we saw the picturesque views of Sand Run Lake, the surrounding pine forest, and the two private ponds – we instantly fell in love with the property. We wanted other people to be able to experience Hocking Hills and Wayne National Forest just like we have been able to. Here you can create the perfect intimate getaway, start a family tradition, or host a large family gathering. We completely renovated the inside of this cabin and added a wrap around deck so our guests can enjoy the spectacular views. Our 12-person Pines Lodge sits on the same 7-acre property with the White Tail Cabin. Our 6-person Sandy Run Cabin is located just down the road. A unique feature about the White Tail Cabin is that it is located in an ATV Friendly area. The Monday Creek Trail System is located 1-mile away from the cabin. Wayne National Forest offers over 75+ miles of designated trails for off-road riders. Guests can ride directly from the cabin to the nearest trailhead. If you have your own off-road vehicle, bring it to experience Wayne National Forest.

Guest access
Guests have access to the entire property. Guests have a private yard to themselves so guests can enjoy time outdoors with friends, family, and pets. There is a pond right in front of the cabin and on the lower portion of the property that guests can use for catch & release fishing. Sand Run Lake is available for anyone to use. It is owned & operated by Wayne National Forest.

Other things to note
Rental rates are subject to change at any time. Our rates are based on a minimum occupancy of 4 guests. Each additional guest is an additional $25 per night. 2 Night minimum for Weekend stays – Friday, Saturday & Sunday. 3 Night minimum for Holiday Weekend - Holiday rates apply for all 3 nights. Taxes are 13.25% additional. We have both 7.25% sales tax and 6% lodging tax added to the rental rates.
