Emerald Shores is a private gated luxury beach community. It boasts beautiful tropical landscaping in a planned community of interesting architecturally compatible houses featuring tiled roofs and colors of the Gulf and Caribbean. The beach is only a few minutes walk from the house. The private gated Emerald Shores Beach Gazebo is right on the beach and has tables, restrooms, elevated decks, and is lighted for night time activities. There are two pools close to the house and a tennis court and basketball goal. Emerald Shores is located between Emerald Coast Parkway ( 6 lane US 98) and Scenic 98 ( 2-lane) which runs right next to the beach. It is about 1 3/4 miles east of the midbay bridge. This means that it is easy to travel to nearby Sandestin, Baytowne, Grayton Beach and 30A, or Destin Harbortown. Destin Commans and other shopping areas are nearby featuring restuarants, retail, food stores, etc. So if you want to check out the beach, shop, play golf, fish, dance, meet with new people, or just relax, we hope you will choose Emerald Shores. How to reach : From I-10 go south from Crestview , FL Exit 56 and go south thru Niceville FL across the bay on the Midbay toll bridge $4.00 . Once across turn left at the second traffic light on Emerald Coast Parkway and go 1 3/4 miles to Emerald Shores on the right
Best time to visit : Any time is good for a visit. Swimming in the gulf for most of us is probably limited to April thru October
Transport system : Personal autos, bikes, carts, rental cars, taxis, buses.
Precautions : A flag system on the beaches warns swimmers of dangers in the gulf. These can include severe under tow conditions rough surf, rip tides, or certain biological dangers such as red tide.
