Nestled in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley between the Skyline Drive and Massanutten Mountain, this River Escape rests above the banks of the beautiful Shenandoah River and is walking distance to Shenandoah River Outfitters to book river trips. It is the ideal location for a romantic retreat or a relaxing family getaway. River Escape features a sunken living room with floor to ceiling windows, a giant wood burning fireplace, and a 42-inch LCD HDTV with Dish Network. The newly renovated kitchen includes everything you would need to cook up a storm and serve it on and a reclaimed lumber 8-person dining table. The Master Bedroom has a queen sized-bed and a private bath with his and her vanities and a multi-jet steam shower. The Guest Bedroom has a queen-sized bed and TV. The third bedroom has one twin bed and a twin bunk bed. River Escape's unique design boasts vaulted ceilings throughout, with lots of windows and natural light. Outdoors features a charcoal grill, yard swing and fire pit with four Adirondack chairs, not to mention the beautiful surroundings. This property is about 10 miles from Luray Caverns and less than a 2-hour drive from Northern Virginia. The George Washington National Forest Story Book Trail is a 19-mile drive, The Thornton Gap Entrance to Shenandoah National Park is a 19-mile drive, and Massanutten Resort is a 35-mile drive. The George Washington National Fishing Lake is located just down the road. You do need a fishing license also.
