ABOUT THE OWNERS

The Lane family bought Nougayrede Bas in 2001, since when we have restored and modernised it throughout. We all found the work of refurbishment hard but satisfying.

The house dates from the C17, we believe, and it was a working farm up until the early 1970s, after which it was used for many years as an artist’s studio. We now use it for entertaining and family parties, as well as for letting.

We love the solid dignity of its architecture, its all-round panorama, and the constantly-changing light on the surrounding hills and valleys. We love to hear that our visitors enjoy them equally. We look forward to hearing the same from you.
