Hillside in Gustavia, this stylish villa offers privacy, sweeping views of the sea and neighboring islands. Glorious sunsets are a bonus. The iconic harbor, shops, restaurants, and popular Shell Beach are all nearby. Spacious, with four en suite bedrooms, Axel Rocks, is a perfect vacation home to share with family or friends. An abundance of outdoor living space, a stunning heated pool with a swim-up bar, a Sonos sound system, and a pool table up the fun factor. If guests must work while on vacation, Villa Axel Rocks is one of the few villas on St. Barth with Fiber Optic Internet.

A professional kitchen will delight the cooks in the group, or it’s ready and waiting for a private chef. Sliding glass walls can contain all the sights and sounds of dinner preparation. (St. Barth Properties can arrange for a chef for all or a portion of your stay.) Guests can dine alfresco on the terrace, and a lovely dining area is incorporated into an open floor plan with a living room that includes a wet bar. Furnished for relaxing and TV viewing, it’s an ideal spot for all to gather; a guest bath is nearby.

Air-conditioned throughout and contemporary in architecture, the modern décor is complemented with a cool white palette and unique artwork. The bedrooms are true retreats with smart TVs (There’s DISH Network and Apple TV.) and refrigerators; three are upper level with terraces and sea views. The fourth bedroom is on the main level and opens to the pool terrace. A small bedroom with bath is located off of the 2nd bedroom; it has a trundle bed suitable for older children of a staff member.

About St. Barth Properties

I am often asked how and why I founded St. Barth Properties, and I am always pleased to share the story. We often talk about how important vacations are to “recharge and reconnect,” and, actually, that was the genesis of my founding the company. Way back then, I was raising three kids and a typical day would see me packing lunches, driving to early-morning hockey practices and maybe fitting in a visit to the vet before I arrived at work. I was the office manager at my husband Steve’s busy dental practice. Steve and I knew we needed a yearly getaway, and I loved planning late winter vacations that would take us from gray and cold Franklin, MA, to a warm and sunny Caribbean island. We visited a different one each year, but when we arrived on St. Barth in March of 1986, it was love at first sight. Its picture-postcard harbor ringed by sweeping hills dotted with red-roofed villas and its crescents of white-sand beaches were all gorgeous, but the European vibe and ambience of casual sophistication really sparked a passion that has never faltered. Before we left, I bought a small condo in the island’s St. Jean Village. I’ve always been a bit impulsive, and more often than not it has served me well. That decision changed my life and set me on a path that led to my founding the company.
