About this space

Copper Can Cabin - Ray Roberts Lodging

Pamper the senses and soothe your soul while wrapped in Nature’s arms. Luxurious Copper-colored sea container dubbed the “Copper Can" is exquisitely designed and decorated for the elite deserving couple or individual who demands solitude and private lodging hosted by a homeowner whose main goal is to greet you with a smile, answer the unasked questions, and provide the ultimate one of a kind experience that will keep their guests returning over and over again.

The space
Everything becomes a piece of conversation. Whether it is the converted 53’ Conex box “tiny home” itself (there’s nothing tiny about it!), the high-end amenities, the top deck, the whimsical wildflower backyard, the copper decorated fully equipped kitchen with full-size appliances, ethanol-burning fireplace, spa-like rain shower, Japanese soaker tub, or the one-of-a-kind view.
The show-stopper of the Copper Can is a one-of-a-kind FormsInNature chandelier designed by the artist Pio Diaz out of Denmark. The dappled light it gives makes you feel like you are in the middle of a mystical forest with tree branches gently bending in the wind. The magical light and the queen-sized adjustable, vibrating bed will invite spontaneous napping, relaxed reading, or romance. Lavish faux fur throws, robes, and area rugs complete the enticing experience.

Guest access
Set in the middle of a seven-acre wooded pasture decked with enormous boulders. Have your breakfast while looking out over the pasture where our retired racehorse, Rex, and his two miniature donkeys, Wally and Beaver, wait for their treats from you. Birdwatching paradise is found right on the front porch with feeders and baths that bring them right to you. Traditional entertainment can be had watching the 55” wall-mounted HDTV with premium DirecTV channels. Take a nap on the mosquito-net-covered-daybeds perched atop the Copper Can on the full-size deck. Grill your dinner out on the charcoal BBQ grill as the sun sets. Watch the moon rise as it seems to balance on top of the Copper Can as you cozy around the fire pit. Hike through the woods and play on the huge boulders.

Other things to note
Your choice of a farm fresh breakfast or Continental breakfast, bottled water, soft drinks, and basic condiments provided. An option to save money is to ask for no breakfast and a stocked refrigerator. Fire pit, Charcoal BBQ Grill; Full-size deck on top with two daybeds; outdoor furniture; wildflower backyard; FormsInNature Chandelier by Pio Diaz that projects shadows as if you're in a mystical forest; plush romantic bedding and linens; spa-like rain shower in large bathroom; Ethanol burning fireplace in front of the 10' sofa and below the Wall-mounted flat screen 55" HDTV with premium DirecTV channels.

Speaks

About Arthur & Lynn Slye

Pilot Point Vacation Homes by Arthur & Lynn Slye My name is Arthur L. Slye IV, a distant cousin of Leonard Slye, AKA Roy Rogers. My friends call me ‘Sly’ or ‘Larry’. I’ve been a truck driver except for five years remodeling homes. God is #1 in my life. My best friend and wife, Lynn, is #2. My Mom, Christine, what can I say, I’m a momma’s boy.. I love being a grandfather to Chloe and Orion who are truly amazing and who we stay in awe of. They keep us laughing. Who knew that I would enjoy the BnB business as I do? Unfortunately for me, it is Lynn who gets to meet and greet our guests since I’m leaving for work just about the time our guests are arriving. My gratification comes from the reviews left by our guests and then having them return over and over again. It is very satisfying to give our guests what they deserve, a place that they can get away to. I’m looking forward to retirement when I can spend more time with Lynn, spoiling my grandchildren, piddling around the place, and most likely having a handyman business. There is no place I’d rather be than right here on our little slice of heaven. Come join us!
