Beautiful Lake Michigan Beachfront Cedar Bend Cottage

Beautiful 4800 sq ft, 7 bedroom, 3.5 bath family vacation cottage on Lake Michigan near Harbor Springs in Cross Village. Built in 2001. Swim and ski. Great room, family room, wood and gas fireplaces, leather sofas, oak trim, well-equipped stainless kitchen, Italian tile, Karastan carpet, cathedral ceilings and windows. Three levels for separation. Huge cedar deck with 10 step stairway to sandy Lake Michigan beach and stream nearby. The General Store has groceries, liquor and gas. 20 minutes from Pelston airport with Northwest Air service and car rentals. Near Harbor Springs, Petoskey, Machinack Island, Nubs Nob and Boyne Highland's ski resorts. 70' LED flatscreen TV with surround sound downstairs, 50' plasma upstairs.   Now renting to single families, Cedar Bend Cottage, a 4,800 sq. ft., 7 bedroom, 3.5 bath cottage built in 2001 on a wooded lot, with 166 feet of private Lake Michigan beach, at the foot of the wooded Cross Village dune near Wilderness State Park.

One-half hour from Harbor Springs, Petoskey, Mackinac City and Indian River, Boyne Highlands and Nub's Nob ski resorts.

Great Room (26' x 34') with wood burning fireplace, leather sofas, oak dining table and chairs, cathedral ceilings, two story glass windows at either end, and a large, fully equipped kitchen with island seating.

There is one step from the garage to the foyer and two steps from the foyer to the main floor, including the deck; otherwise, the house is wheelchair accessible. The utility room downstairs includes a washer, dryer, and ironing board. There are 10 steps to the beach with a handrail. A small refrigerator and sink are located in the downstairs bar area. This is a non-smoking, pet-free home.

Cancellation policy


50% due upon reservation. Remainder at least two weeks prior to arrival.
All rentals are final. If you cancel and the cottage rents for your days, we will refund your payments up to the amount of rent paid by the new guests.
If they pay the full rate, you will be refunded fully.  If they pay a reduced rate (not typical), you will be refunded at the reduced rate.  
Our cottage rents a year in advance. It's very difficult for a family group of 16 to arrange vacations at the last minute if someone cancels.


Damage and Incidentals
We ask for a $500 check against damages which will only be assed if we speak with you first.  You will be responsible for any damage to the rental property caused by you or your party during your stay.

Located in Harbor Springs, this cottage is in a rural area and on the beach. Mackinaw Bridge Museum and Colonial Michilimackinac Park are cultural highlights, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Tunnel of Trees and Harbor Springs Vineyards and Winery. Traveling with kids? Consider Animal Tracks Adventure Golf and Totem Village. Take in the nearby slopes with skiing, or check out other outdoor activities such as sledding.
