About Virgil Tavas (Chicago Vintage Rentals)

Chicago Vintage Rentals & Apartments by Virgil Tavas I am a career corporate finance professional and a life-long Chicagoan and resident of the Lincoln Square neighborhood. My wife is an attorney and we have two lovely children, ages 16 and 8. We collect art and greatly enjoy world travel. Virgil purchased this Apartment in 1910 Why Virgil chose RavenswoodThis 1-BR rental unit is on the second floor of a beautiful brick two-flat and has an open balcony that's great to hang out at in the warmer months. The building is quintessential Chicago and conveniently located near transportation, a great park, shopping, fine restaurants, pubs, cafes, quaint little shops and the Old Town School of Music that has hosted acclaimed musicians from all over the world. The neighborhood has everything to offer for all ages and backgrounds - playground for kids, art fairs and festivals for the entire family, wine-tasting for oenophiles, spa for the ladies, sports bars, a big park to walk/jog in, and many more. Around the corner is Lutz Continental Cafe and Pastry, a Chicago institution that draws visitors from all over the city. The property is in a quiet, tree-lined block that is easy to get to and from many other points of interests in the city. What makes this Apartment uniqueThis 1-BR unit has a quiet, cozy and modern/vintage vibe that's ideal for a couple on a romantic getaway or any traveler looking for a more relaxed alternative to hotel stays in a vibrant and safe city neighborhood. The location is ideal in that vacationers can enjoy its many unique local attractions, in addition to downtown and other Chicago sites being easily accessible via car or public transportation.

How booking works

  1. 1Message the host with your dates and questions.
  2. 2The host confirms availability, rates and rental terms.
  3. 3Agree the rental agreement and payment method directly with the host.
  4. 4Pay the host using their approved process — not through this site.

Paying safely

  • Pay by a method with chargeback rights, such as a credit card.
  • Never pay by bank transfer, gift card or cryptocurrency — those payments cannot be recalled.
  • Get the rental agreement, total price and cancellation terms in writing before you pay.
  • Treat pressure to pay quickly, or a price far below similar homes nearby, as a warning sign.

Find Vacation Home Rentals connects you directly with the host and does not process payments. Confirm rates, availability and the payment method with the host before you book.
