From A Relatively Obscure Neighborhood That Locals Referred To At A Time As Germantown Or Little Europe, Lincoln Square Has Become A Destination Spot For Those Who Want To Shop Its Unique Specialty Stores - Merz Apothercary, Timeless Toys, Gene's Sausage Shop, Book Cellar, To Name A Few. There Are Also Many Restaurants, Taverns, The Famed Old Town School Of Folk Music, Art Fairs And Festivals, Farmer's Market And Many More Activities Catering To Diverse Tastes And All Ages That Have Attracted An Increasing Number Of Visitors. Downtown Chicago Is Seven Miles From Here And Is A 20-minute Ride Via Chicago's 'L' Train (short For The Elevated Tracks It Rides On). The City Is Also One Of The Bike-friendliest In The Us And Rental Divvy Bike Riders Are Everywhere Year-round - Yes, Even In The Winter!

The Property Is Three Blocks Away From The World-renowned Old Town School Of Folk Music, Where You Can Catch Jazz, Flamenco, Samba, Salsa, Cajun,  Reggae, African And Other Genres Of Folk/world Music In An Intimate Setting. Right Next Door To The Property Is Grand Tour, A Newly Opened Sports Bar/restaurant Whose Specialty Is Its Offering Of Cuisines From Different Countries Every Month, Not To Mention Its International Weekend Brunch And Extensive Beer Selections. A Walk Around The Corner Is Lutz Continental Cafe And Pastry Shop, A Chicago Institution Famous For Their German Pastry And Cake Specialties. Besides Grand Tour, There Are Countless Other Restaurants In The Area That Cater To All Ethnic Tastes And Affordability - Greek, Polish, Mexican, German, British, Thai, Japanese, Korean, Indian, Italian, Filipino, Peruvian, Lebanese.... You Name It, They're All Around Here. There Are Also Plenty Of Mid- To High-end Dining,  With Goosefoot And Elizabeth In The Latter Category Attracting Rave Reviews From Foodies And Experts, No Small Feat In A City That Has 8,000-plus Restaurants.

If You'd Rather Just Hang Out And Grill In The Backyard, There Are Stores Close By Where You Can Shop For Meats, Produce And Other Grocery Needs. A popular option is to have a picnic at Welles Park, which is just a block away. Owner will  provide a portable grill for this option. My Nephew Who Lives In The Second Floor Of The Building Had Gone To Chef School And Would Also Be Open To Custom-preparing Meals For Indoor Dining.

About Virgil Tavas (Chicago Vintage Rentals)

Chicago Vintage Rentals & Apartments by Virgil Tavas I am a career corporate finance professional and a life-long Chicagoan and resident of the Lincoln Square neighborhood. My wife is an attorney and we have two lovely children, ages 16 and 8. We collect art and greatly enjoy world travel. Virgil purchased this Apartment in 1910 Why Virgil chose RavenswoodThis 1-BR rental unit is on the second floor of a beautiful brick two-flat and has an open balcony that's great to hang out at in the warmer months. The building is quintessential Chicago and conveniently located near transportation, a great park, shopping, fine restaurants, pubs, cafes, quaint little shops and the Old Town School of Music that has hosted acclaimed musicians from all over the world. The neighborhood has everything to offer for all ages and backgrounds - playground for kids, art fairs and festivals for the entire family, wine-tasting for oenophiles, spa for the ladies, sports bars, a big park to walk/jog in, and many more. Around the corner is Lutz Continental Cafe and Pastry, a Chicago institution that draws visitors from all over the city. The property is in a quiet, tree-lined block that is easy to get to and from many other points of interests in the city. What makes this Apartment uniqueThis 1-BR unit has a quiet, cozy and modern/vintage vibe that's ideal for a couple on a romantic getaway or any traveler looking for a more relaxed alternative to hotel stays in a vibrant and safe city neighborhood. The location is ideal in that vacationers can enjoy its many unique local attractions, in addition to downtown and other Chicago sites being easily accessible via car or public transportation. https://www.chicagovintagerentals.com/ https://www.findvacationhomerentals.com/search/chicagohttps://www.findvacationhomerentals.com/search/illinoishttps://www.findvacationhomerentals.com/property/10850https://www.findvacationhomerentals.com/property/10849https://www.findvacationhomerentals.com/property/10848https://www.findvacationhomerentals.com/property/10847https://www.findvacationhomerentals.com/property/10846https://www.findvacationhomerentals.com/property/10845
