This property backs up to woods and sits on over a half acre. The cabin boasts over 2,900 sq. feet of interior space and 1,400 sq. feet of porches, a deck, and patio.
Hand-scraped, hardwood floors and tongue & groove ceilings and walls throughout most of the cabin set the tone at this relaxing retreat. Guests can show off their culinary skills in a well-equipped kitchen with all stainless steel appliance including a French-door refrigerator (with filtered water on the door and an ice maker), microwave, smooth-top range, dishwasher, combo carafe / K-cup coffee maker, small appliances and all the pots and pans and utensils needed to prepare just about any meal. The granite counter tops and Hickory cabins complete the ensemble and invite any gourmet to create to his or her heart’s content. Any "grill master" will also appreciate the Weber gas grill where he or she can prepare steaks, burgers, chicken and more! The grill is just a few steps from the kitchen, on the grilling area of the rear porch that can be used even during inclement weather. In addition, there is also a "park-style" outdoor, charcoal grill with charcoal provided! Enjoy outdoor dining at a rustic table with 6 chairs on the SCREENED back porch located right off the kitchen or eat at the indoor dining area!
UPPER LEVEL:
The upper level has a spacious, private king suite with a private shower-bath, plus a nice reading loft / alcove area and a "work from home" area with a computer desk, chair and monitor. Not many cabins have a 55" flat-screen, 4-K TV in a bedroom, or a deluxe, memory foam mattress! Well, Mama Bear Retreat has these and more!
MAIN LEVEL:
Three reclining seats, two in a sectional sofa and one in the single chair makes the great room with a direct-vent, gas fireplace (available during cold months) with floor to ceiling stone and a high-vaulted ceiling quite inviting. This easy access, main level also has a well-equipped deluxe kitchen, dining area with table and chairs, bar stools, a wheelchair-friendly bedroom with private bath, another bedroom and bath, a laundry alcove with full-size washer and dryer, wide hallway and doors, two porches and a deck.
A 5-6 person hot tub is conveniently located on the main level in a SCREENED enclosed 50' x 12' rear porch. The porch has direct access to a "cabana bath" via a door directly into the bath from the porch!
LOWER LEVEL:
The lower level features a combo "games and sleeping" room where twin bunk-beds and two pull-out, queen sofa beds provide sleeping for 6 guests. This area also has a direct-vent fireplace, a game/card table with chairs, and foosball table. Guests of all ages can also enjoy a plethora of board games or relax while watching a 65" 4-k TV. Down the hallway is a separate room with a pool table, plus a chess & checkers table.
There is also an adjacent bathroom with a small shower.
The lower level can be accessed via an indoor stairway or accessed from the outside via double French doors where there is also easy access to the lower level driveway and yard. WHEELCHAIRS CAN ACCESS THE LOWER LEVEL FROM OUTSIDE!

OCCUPANCY LIMIT:
The total number of guests permitted, not including infants is twelve (12).
This is a family-oriented property. No fraternities, sororities, and other such "wild groups" allowed! Birthday, anniversary and other such gatherings are okay. Failure to comply with this "occupancy policy" is a violation of the terms and conditions of renting this property. Such violation will not be tolerated and will result in cancellation of stay, removal of all guests from the premises, forfeiture of all monies paid and payment for any damages by guests.
NUMBER OF PERSONS IN FAMILY / PARTY:
The total number of guests, including children (but, not including infants) must be listed / disclosed when making a booking. Rental-rates are for 1-6 persons (adults and children). There is a nominal charge for additional guests (the 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th guest).
PET POLICY:
Sorry, NO PETS allowed! This is strictly enforced and monitored!
SMOKING POLICY:
Smoking is NOT PERMITTED in or around the premises! This includes E-cigarettes!!!
A violation of this STRICT NO SMOKING POLICY will result in cancellation of stay, removal of all guests from the property, forfeiture of all monies paid and payment for any damages by guests.
VEHICLES AND PARKING:
Parking area / driveway can accommodate a maximum of 4 vehicles. No food or food wrappers / containers should be left in vehicles! Keep vehicle doors LOCKED at all times!
PROPERTY FEE / PROTECTION DAMAGE PROTECTION:
$59 Property Fee provides automatic Property Damage Protection for up to $1,500
CANCELLATION:
If a cancellation of your booking is a concern, we recommend the purchase of Cancellation Protection from CSA or another travel insurance company. These "policy" normally provide a refund in the event of cancellation if you pass the refund date period pertaining to your stay / booking (please read carefully the restrictions regarding refunds / cancellations before booking this property). Should snow or ice conditions be possible, we highly recommend 4 Wheel Drive or Snow Chains.

BABY BEAR GETAWAY:
There is an optional amenity, multi-functional 280 s.f., separate structure, "Bunkie" located on the property at Mama Bear Retreat. Only guests staying at Mama Bear Retreat can add this amenity to their guest-stay for a nominal charge (see Rates posted on Facebook by going to the Facebook page BABY BEAR GETAWAY).
BABY BEAR GETAWAY can be uses as an office, virtual learning / schooling area, video arcade enjoyment center, movie "theater", arts and crafts area, a quite "get away place" and so much more!
